Work your resume, so it works for you.

Enter the Resume Bootcamp Supreme: a remedy for your resume.

The Resume Bootcamp is a hybrid online course that leads you through a self-led learning program, while offering additional support in a group forum, and a final resume review by a Certified Resume Strategist (yeah, there is such a thing!)

  You can join any time.

If you have atleast a week, this is better than someone writing a resume for you.  When this resume gets you the interview, you'll know exactly how you were selling yourself and what to back up in the interview.

You and  your resume are going to look so good.

This Resume Bootcamp gives you:

  • a step-by-step process to improve the structure, content and tone of your resume and land you interviews ($97 usd)

  • A guide on writing Authentic Cover Letters (I once had a cover letter photocopied by HR and told "it was the best letter she ever saw her entire career" ($97 US)

  • Access to a membership site ($200/year) to get quick answers on resume questions like:
    • is this an ATS system, should I submit with pdf or word?
    • Can you help me figure out the keywords I need to hit from this ad?
    • Does this make me sounds boring -- I'm trying to show how I helped a co-worker
    • I want to apply for two types of roles, two do I do that?

  • a resume review by Kerri (regular $175 usd)

  • access to resume advice when you need it.

All for $400 usd.

Step One: Mindset Training

We start with five days of mindset and strength training to get you prepped to create the resume of your dreams.

You wouldn't think of deadlifting 800 lbs on the first day. Or running a full marathon without base training.

Resume writing is like that.

You might be excited to start, but this work ain't easy. I can give you a process to make it fun and easier, but mindset matters.

You'll get 5 days of daily mind stretches to help build up stamina, and build a plan that supports your strengths and works around your weaknesses.

I want you to stop thinking you can't do this work, and start prepping to write the resume of your dreams.

Step Two: Tools and Resources

Once you are prepped for the work, you'll enter the training program, AKA Resume in a Weekend.

The course breaks your work into three days of intense story mining, research, writing, and strategy.

Recent particpants have said:

" I'm about halfway through the resume course, trying to do it when the kids are sleeping. It has been super helpful so far - I'm already regretting the missed opportunities of the jobs I applied to before knowing/using any of this!"

"I just want to tell you I love it. It's very clear and concise and has provided me with a lot of aha moments. Slowly but surely working on my resume edit."

This is the same process I use when I am working 1-1 with clients and when I teach advanced resume writing at the University of Winnipeg.  It turns people from thinking resumes are lame and they can't do it themselves, to wanting to show their resume  to everyone. (Seriously, I have students sending their resumes to family and friends and proudly saying, "Look what I made. Look how great I look.") And they're getting calls for interviews.

The Resume in a Weekend course takes about 12 hours to complete.

More than that it offers a resume development system you can use for the rest of your life.

Step Three: Refine and Define

Once you have completed the first draft of your resume, send it to me.  I guess in bootcamp terms this would be the weigh-in or the big race.

I'll spend a half hour combing through your resume to highlight any parts that need tightening. And if you need extra resources, I'll send them your way.

I have complete trust in the Resume in a Weekend training program, but you'll get the reassurance your resume will pass the test.

After the review, you can continue to throw ideas by me in the membership forum. And not just for the first resume you make, any resume you make for the entire year.

My experience with resumes

I have been obsessed with resumes since high school. I couldn't believe that one document could tell someone's whole career story.

I worked as a drama educator and playwright for the first 15 years of my career. My work was helping people to share their stories with confidence and writing stories. Alongside playwriting books, I would read resume books. I was still fascinated with how they could tell a story in just a few lines. It's like business poetry.

As my career developed I was less interested in teaching people to act for art's sake, and started using drama and writing to help people figure out their story.  I was the unofficial career coach in many organizations.

I wanted to take this work to the next level so I:

  • Completed a certificate in HR (honours!) to learn how humans and computers read resumes and make hiring decisions.
  • Got trained by executive coaches on how to coach people
  • Worked as a Career Transition consultant for an HR firm where I developed and led live and on-line resume workshops
  • Earned the title as the "in-house resume expert", and led trainings for other executive coaches on resume writing and strategy. I worked with the recruiting side of the firm to help high profile candidates look even better on paper.
  • Earned by Certified Resume Strategist Certification
  • Developed and teach Resume Writing and Job Search Strategy at the University of Winnipeg
  • Act as an advisor for the Resume Writing portion for the PACE program

You are in good hands. I want you to look as good on paper as you possibly can.

I know you can write a strong resume. I'm here to help.

I help people use their stories to land ideal work. And if they don't know what kind of job, I help with that too. Stories + Job Search Strategy

I'm Kerri, I am a LinkedIn Top Voice in Management and Workplace, and a contributing author to the Amazon best-selling resume book - YOUMap. ( I wrote six pages of the resume section) and named the #1 Career Coach to follow on LinkedIn by Job Scan.

All that is cool and fancy.

The reason I get those opportunities was by sharing my story and strengths intentionally. I would like to help you to do the same. It'll look different on you.

I help people use their stories to  land ideal work.  I have helped people find and hone their stories for over 20 years, first as a drama instructor and playwright, and now as a Career Coach working with mid-level to senior professionals all over the world.

I have a B.A in Drama in Education (so my videos are fun!), a M.Ed (so I know how to teach), a HR Certificate (I know how hiring managers are trained) and am a Certified Resume Strategist.

What is different about the way you teach resume writing vs. a book?

I use a stories method combined with marketing theory.

Often resume books (and I have read over 30 of them) provide too much information,  when you just need to follow a simple and proven process.

And the group gets you access to me for quick questions about formatting, wording, or follow-up. A book can't do that for you.

This course will not give you a general resume because general resumes do not work.

This course will help you to see that your resume is a teeny part of the job search, but writing it this way actually preps you for interviews and networking at the same time.

These resumes work.

What if I need more than one resume review?

This program comes with one post-program resume review by Kerri, once final payment has been made.

You can get advice in the Resume Playroom group, with many people offering to trade review services with eachother.

If you are stuck on wording during your program, you can get advice in the group.

If you purchase Resume Bootcamp, you have access to discounted resume reviews $100 per resume (usually $175 - use coupon code RESUME) by Kerri.
