Have you noticed that other people are landing high-paying and exciting work? And, while you are intelligent, generous, and insightful, nothing is happening for you.
You might not know why, but you want to change it. You want to feel incredible in the work you have and the contribution your career makes.
When you imagined your career, you never thought it would feel frustrating or hazy.
It doesn't need to.
"I have given away my worth long enough. I know I am worth more."
"When I tell people about all my jobs and projects, they can't make sense of my career path. I need to make it easier for them to understand. And I need to make sense of it for myself, too. If I knew the career through-line and how to share it, they'd be amazed about what I offer."
“I need to sort out my career, but I need time, space, and structure."
"My co-workers and friends are getting tapped for opportunities, so why don't the recruiters contact me?"
"I can land doing the work I've always done, but it's not fulfilling me anymore. I wonder what I'm meant to do?"
"It's not that I don't get job offers, but everything I get asked to do feels flat. I want a cool job--something that makes my heart sing."
"How do I turn the time I spend worrying about my career into something proactive?"
"I love the idea of working somewhere else, but I have no idea where."
The two hardest parts of career transition are questioning what to do next and stepping into that new area of expertise. You question every word, conversation, move, and idea. It can feel heavy.
I know this because I was there too. I questioned everything before I figured out how to embrace my strengths and tell my story.
You are not overwhelmed because of a lack of information. You are overwhelmed because there is a plethora of information out there but no map.
The Career Intensive leads you through the process to
Know your career brand and stories
Identify what work would be a great fit (and what to avoid)
Establish your brand so it tells the same enticing story across your resume, LinkedIn, networking, and interview
Plan a productive job search from the roots
The Career Intensive offers a brave place to sort and test ideas before launching.
I created the Career Intensive to support you in navigating change with a strong career brand. Looking for and landing ideal work should feel fun, energizing, and grounding, and I'd love for you to feel that.
People who take the Career Intensive typically earn $20,000 more than they made before taking this program when they:
Do the weekly work & submit it for feedback
Attend monthly 1-1 meetings
Attend the bi-weekly "Rehearsal Hall" sessions
The biggest salary boost for a Career Intensive participant was 92%!*
This Executive Director used the program to develop their interview skills. We spent the first-month getting career clarity and making slight resume edits.
We used the monthly live calls to practice their interview skills and a presentation. The clarity and feedback took them from being looked over to being seen as the only one who could take the organization to the next level.
*We joked that they needed to find a financial advisor now. It was so much extra money.
You can start the Career Intensive anytime you are ready to take your career to the next level. Ideally, it should be 8-10 weeks before you plan on being in an active job search.
This program prepares you for an active search.
An active search is when you are sending out resumes, networking, and going to interviews.
I created this program because I repeatedly had the same conversation and shared the same content with multiple clients. They didn't need a complete individualized coaching program -- they needed:
A structure to trust
Resources as they went
Accountability to follow through when it felt hard
Specific feedback & responses to their unique questions & situation
You are the owner and hero of your career. I help you see that for yourself.
The program follows the same process as my book, The Career Stories Method. But with additional exercises and feedback tailored just for you.
Module 1: Make Your Career Stories Cards
Module 2: Love Yourself, Love Your Career
Module 3: Find Work that Makes Your Heart Sing
Module 4: Find and Make The Perfect Work Environment
Module 5: Experiment and Test
Module 6: Set and Research Your Ideal Work Target
Module 7: Tend to Your Career Mindset
Module 8: Become a better storyteller
Module 9: Connect with Your People (Networking Strategy and Design).
Module 10: Sell Yourself: Resumes, LinkedIn, and more interview prep
Module 11: The Plan
This program includes:
The 11 Modules (the first six modules are usually completed in 2-3 weeks)
Monthly 20-minute calls with me + access to weekly office hours for three months. We'll talk privately every month, and as you complete work (resumes, LinkedIn profiles, etc., you email them to me for feedback every Thursday).
One year access to every course in the online library, including Nail the Interview Prep Pack ($97), Intentional LinkedIn Presence ($49), resuMAY ($199), and Writing Authentic Cover Letters ($99).
Six months of access to The Rehearsal Hall - an online community to continue to infuse your search and work with mindfulness and intentional expression. This can support you as you launch and land your new work. (Value: USD 300)
The Career Stories Intensive gives you three months of full access to the entire Career Stories process and personal feedback.
One private coaching session every month (20 minutes long; they are recorded)
Weekly feedback on your career musings, resume, stories, strategy, interview prep LinkedIn profile or whatever career/job search questions that come up
Access to all of my courses, including resuMAY, Nail the Interview Prep Pack and Your Intentional LinkedIn Presence
Access to The Rehearsal Hall membership for six months -- this is where you learn extra practices that sustain a strong career.
Once you sign up for the Career Intensive, I create a private online workspace for us. Here, you can upload work every week and get feedback on it.
You know you were meant for dreamier work but struggle to land it.
You love getting compliments from your boss and pulled in on special projects, but they're not earning you more money or respect.
You know a lot about your sector and have the expertise that companies need but struggle to communicate it.
You love the idea of having career clarity combined with improved storytelling skills; you see this as more than landing a job; it's developing a new career communication tool.
You need to make a career change, but you're not sure what kind.
Your resume is a little off or dated. Nobody calls you about jobs (even when people with the same degrees and less experience get head-hunted).
You want to know that your career brand is consistent and something you are proud of.
You are looking for a structured program that doesn't take over your life - but has you taking steady action toward your career goals.
I get it – so many people talk about career coaching, but it's hard to know who the real deal is.
I've been doing this work for 20 years. My book, The Career Stories Method, is used in universities and organizations internationally to help people find what makes them awesome and express that to thrive in their work. I am respected in the career coaching community, mainly for the unique way I combine mindfulness and theatre with career development theory to give clients an embodied way of knowing and expressing themselves.
I am regularly named a top coach to follow and I am a LinkedIn Top Voice.
Do you like people with degrees? Me too! I have a B. A in Theatre, an M.Ed in Humane Education, and an HR Certificate. I have also undertaken master's level mindfulness teacher training through Unified Mindfulness.
And I'd love to help you!
The material and methods used in the Career Intensive are designed for people who have worked for over ten years, are doers, and are self-motivated. This program works well for specialists and leaders.
It is the perfect support system for people who want to ensure that their next move is correct and that their marketing pieces are compelling and authentic.
This program is not ideal for people who don't follow through or need a lot of time to discuss things. If you process things best verbally, a 1-1 program is better, or combine this program with another mental health support.
If you like following a process, getting quick weekly feedback, and having one private call with me monthly, this program is the best way to work with me.
The Career Intensive program involves less one-on-one time with me but gives you full access to client-only material. I created the Career Intensive because I repeated so much of this content with clients. Many people only needed 20 minutes a month to talk about bigger challenges and weekly written/audio feedback to thrive.
The cost for regular coaching programs is USD 1,500 a month.
That's probably a good sign you are in the right place. Most of my clients are senior leaders in their companies. At this point in your career, you must take some time to ensure the next step is right for you.
