Last year, in the final stage of becoming a Unified Mindfulness Teacher, I received an assignment to create a new mindfulness technique.
I created a technique that I called See Scheme. I designed it as a tool to help with writing short stories. I used it to imagine scenes and communicate with the characters in the story. And, even ask the story itself -- what do you want to be?
As part of teacher training, I piloted the exercise with other mindfulness teachers. They loved it and said they saw how they could use it to solve problems in their own life, not just when writing stories.
A few months later, I tested this technique with a group of advanced meditator clients as a problem-solving tool, and they raved about it. One of them used it to solve a business problem. Another used it to gain insight into how they wanted to show up at work.
Late last year, I tested the technique again with a group of artists to get in touch with their inner artists. Again, it was successful and led people to insights.
I started to use this technique to imagine the soul of my business so I could have a conversation with it.
